[Movies] Anna Faris, Dan Aykroyd, and Justin Timberlake In Talks To Join Yogi Bear
Posted by Larry Csonka on 11.06.2009

According to Variety, Anna Faris, Dan Aykroyd, and Justin Timberlake are in talks to join the cast of the live-action/CGI Yogi Bear movie. Faris is negotiating to play a documentary filmmaker, Aykroyd for the voice of Yogi Bear, and Timberlake for the voice of Boo-Boo. Eric Brevig (Journey to the Center of the Earth) will direct, and filming is scheduled to start next month in New Zealand.

What do you think of these casting choices?

If they made it a thriller where Yogi and Boo Boo stalk then kill Alvin and the Chipmunks I might go see it. Otherwise this is just horrible.

Does it involve rabies, and an Old Yeller ending?

No?

Than don't make it.

I'd prefer that Quickdraw McGraw epic we've been waiting for.

If/when they make this, please don't make it suck. My kid's gonna wanna see this and there have been some terribly painful kids movies. I will say they've gotten better recently, but seriously, a robot that says 2 words in 90 minutes? UGH!

I'd think Aykroyd would be a better Mr. Ranger.

Dan Aykroyd does a killer Art-Carney-as-Ed-Norton voice impression, so I'm not worried there. The real challenege is going to be finding a Ranger Smith.

Hopefully they can get Will Ferrel to reprise his role as Federal Wildlife Marshal Willenholly....
